Strauss and Bruckner’s Final Thoughts to be performed by BBC National Orchestra of Wales

On Friday 27 May BBC National Orchestra of Wales return to St David’s Hall, Cardiff at 7pm to perform two emotional and powerful works written by Bruckner and Richard Strauss, conducted by the Orchestra’s Dutch Principal Guest Conductor Jac van Steen.

Literature Wales (formerly Academi) is taking to the roads, byways and footpaths to bring Wales’ literatures closer to the landscapes in which they are embedded. 2011’s programme is more diverse than ever, comprising four bus tours and four walking tours located across the country from Snowdonia to the Brecon Beacons.
