Arts Council of Wales | Grant Application Process

Grant Application Process

Before you apply for a grant you need to discuss your project with one of our Development Officers

Before you apply for a grant you need to discuss your project with one of our Development Officers who will send you a link to an application form if they think it’s suitable for us to consider funding.

Large Grants

If you started an online application, but didn’t submit it before 17 January 2018, you will no longer be able to access it and you’ll need to speak to a Development Officer to get a new form. However you will have been emailed a copy of any data you input before that date when you last saved your work, and which you can cut and paste into a new application..

Small Grants

If you started an online application before 17 February 2018 but didn’t submit it, you will no longer be able to access it, and you’ll need to speak to a Development Officer to get a new form. However you will have been emailed a copy of any data you input before that date when you last saved your work, and which you can cut and paste into a new application.

If you have a project that you think might be suitable to apply for funding, please email details to development@arts.wales. If you’ve already been working with a Development Officer you can contact them direct.

Please include in your email the following information:

  • Your name and the name of the organisation that will be applying (if appropriate)
  • Project title
  • The grant strand you’re hoping to apply to
  • A description of your project

One of our Development Officers will contact you to discuss your idea and they will send you a link to the application form when they’re satisfied you’re ready to apply.
